Whatis the difference between PC material and resin material.
Thecommon PVC material belongs to a kind of resin. PVC, namely polyvinylchloride, is vinyl chloride resin. The resin contains pvc, whichbelongs to a category of resins. Resins are solid, semi-solidand sometimes liquid organic polymers at room temperature. FRPtile is made of resin with glass fiber, which makes ordinary PVCmaterial tough and durable.
PCis not the same material as PVC. PC is more transparent, moreresistant to high temperature and more tenacious.
ThePVC thermal melting temperature is 80 ° C, and the PC thermalmelting temperature is more than 120 ° C. The simplest way todistinguish it is to put the plastic sheet into boiling water, andthe PVC will immediately deform while the PC material will not.
Refer to the article "Distinguish between drives and scratches" to learn about the strength difference between PC and PVC.
1.PVC: amorphous white powder, with small branching degree, relativedensity of about 1.4, glass transition temperature of 77~90 ℃,and decomposition at about 170 ℃.It has poor stability to light and heat. When it is above 100 ℃or exposed to sunlight for a long time, it will decompose to producehydrogen chloride, which will further automatically catalyzedecomposition, causing discoloration, and the physical and mechanicalproperties will rapidly decline.
2.PC: Almost colorless amorphous polymer in glass state, with goodoptical properties. PC high molecular weight resin has hightoughness. The notch impact strength of cantilever beam is600~900J/m, and the thermal deformation temperature of unfilled brandis about 130 ° C. This value can be increased by 10 ° C after glassfiber reinforcement.
1.PC material is polycarbonate, which is a colorless, transparent andindefinite thermoplastic material. Themechanical strength is very high. Polycarbonate is colorless andtransparent, heat-resistant, impact resistant, and flame retardant. It has UL94 V-0 flame retardant performance without additives.
2.PVC material is PVC material. It is a general-purpose plastic withthe second largest output and the most widely used plastic. PVCitself is also a colorless and transparent hard material, but it ismuch more brittle than PC and less transparent than PC. Othermechanical properties are also very different from PC. But PVCcan be added with a lot of plasticizers, and then it can be made intosoft PVC. The so-called hard PVC refers to the PVC plastic withless than 5kg of plasticizer added in 100kg of PVC resin powder.Building sewer pipes, downspouts, plastic steel windows, credit cardsand the like are all hard PVC. When the plasticizer dosage ismore than 5 kg, it is called semi hard PVC, and when the plasticizerdosage is more than 25 kg, it is called soft PVC. Common wiresheaths, disposable infusion tubes, some inflatable toys, soft doorcurtains, and transparent plastic table mats sold in supermarkets, which are called soft glass, are all soft PVC. PVC can also becolored at will to make all kinds of transparent and opaque coloredproducts, so PVC is the most widely used plastic at present, and itsprice is only about 1/2 to 1/4 of that of PC.
